Matthew Nicodemo Accepted into the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Archer is pleased to announce that attorney Matthew M. Nicodemo has been accepted into Class V of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).

The Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute was established by ACTEC Fellows to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations. The institute consists of six sessions for lawyers who were nominated by an ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process.

The program will begin in April 2026 and conclude in November 2026, covering a wide range of topics such as estate planning, asset protection, business protection planning, estate litigation, and wealth transfer strategies. These sessions will be led by experts from across the country, providing participants with specialized knowledge in each field.

In his legal practice, Matthew concentrates his practice on probate and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in estate and trust litigation involving will contests, disputes between fiduciaries and beneficiaries, guardianship matters, accountings, and trust interpretation and reformation matters. Matthew also regularly handles complex commercial litigation, including Chancery Court matters involving injunctive relief.

Matthew is also very active in the legal community. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Probate Litigation & Guardianship Committee of the Bergen County Bar Association. He was the President of the Bergen County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division for the 2023-2024 term and is a panelist for the Essex County Early Settlement Panel for Probate matters. Matthew is also a graduate of the Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court. Additionally, he serves as a Trustee for the Bergen County Bar Foundation.

Matthew earned his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, and his B.A., cum laude from Fairfield University.
