Melissa Osorio Dibble Accepted Into The Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of The American College Of Trust and Estate Counsel

Archer is pleased to announce that attorney Melissa Osorio Dibble has been accepted into the inaugural class of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Lawyers are nominated by an ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process. Ms. Dibble was one of 38 lawyers selected from nominees located in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC.

Created by ACTEC Fellows, the mission of the Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute is to develop the profession’s future trust and estate leaders through a series of in-depth educational presentations. The inaugural Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute will begin in September 2019. Students are to attend six full-day sessions on topics such as estate planning, asset protection, business protection planning, estate litigation, and wealth transfer strategies led by experts in each field from across the country. It is the aim and goal of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws, procedures, and professional responsibility.

 Ms. Dibble obtained her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden. She handles all varieties of probate, general equity, and Orphans’ Court matters, including will contests, breach of fiduciary duty actions, trust modifications, and matters involving the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act and the Slayer Statute. She has represented a variety of institutions and individuals, including banks, universities, executors, trustees, beneficiaries of estates and trusts, and intestate heirs. Ms. Dibble regularly speaks on recent developments in estate and trust litigation and has published articles on the doctrine of writings intended as wills and the Uniform Trust Code.
