Steven Mignogna Appointed Chair of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Archer Partner Steven K. Mignogna has been appointed Chair of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Steve will serve a one-year term beginning in March. ACTEC Committee Chairs traditionally serve for three consecutive terms.

Steve serves as the Chair of Archer’s Estate and Trust Litigation Practice Group and focuses his practice on commercial litigation, with a concentration on probate matters, estates, fiduciaries, guardianships and real estate.

Steve is the New Jersey State Chair of ACTEC. Along with his serving as New Jersey State Chair and Chair of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee, he is active in ACTEC in several other areas, which include Professional Responsibility Committee, Program Committee, Joint Task Force of ACTEC and the National College of Probate Judges, and Advisory Committee to ACTEC’s Mid-Atlantic Fellows Institute.

ACTEC is a prestigious association of highly-credentialed trust and estate lawyers. Its members are elected to the College by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. All ACTEC members have made substantial contributions to the field of trusts and estates law through writing, teaching and bar leadership activities.

Steve also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Heckerling Institute and is active in the American Bar Association (ABA), where he has held several leadership roles in the ABA’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, including serving as Chair of the Litigation, Ethics and Malpractice Group.

Recently, the Camden County Bar Association named Steve as the 2020 Camden County Professional Lawyer of the Year. In 2017, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education honored Steve with the Distinguished Service Award.
